I had a lot of fun reviewing Elliot Quest on Wii U, so I went ahead and got in touch with indie developer Luis Zuno of Anzimus Games to catch up and find out what he’s been up to since the launch of his game.

4cr: Welcome Luis! Good to have you back for another interview. How are things now that Elliot Quest is up and running? What have you been up to lately other than working on a new patch for the Wii U version of Elliot Quest?

It’s been great Antonio, thanks for asking! We’ve received a lot of positive feedback, especially from the Miiverse community from the Nintendo Wii U players. We are still working on Elliot Quest but i have started working on a new project by myself based on a Patreon page.

4cr: Interesting! So this Patreon you mention, what is it for? What will you be doing with the money pledged every month by patrons?

Since I enjoyed making the art for Elliot Quest a lot, I wanted to make and share Pixel Art for other game devs as well as continue making some small games for free. The Patronage of my supporters at Patreon will sustain these projects and they will benefit by getting exclusive content, access to my Patreon feed where I’ll share tips and tricks and discuss upcoming ideas for new art assets.

4cr: OK, so that means that you will make available pixel art, tile maps and even small experimental games… for free? Can people then just use what you make to build their own assets or games?

Exactly. I know how difficult it can be for a developer to create art on their own for their games or prototypes. And since I’m a developer, I will create assets that will be easy to use for developers.

4cr: Along with the Patreon, which is smaller in scope, are you considering taking to Kickstarter again for a new epic game like Elliot Quest?

At the moment, I don’t have plans to start a new journey like making a new game like Elliot Quest. First I need to finish some pending projects. But you’ll be the first to know when there’s a new game on the way!

4cr: Speaking of Elliot Quest, how are the sales for the game on Steam and Wii U? It’s definitely a very fun game, so hopefully people are buying the game.

Sales numbers on Wii U has been by much bigger than on Steam. However, putting the game on the console has been a long journey and a lot of work and I definitely couldn’t have got there on my own, which is why I’m thankful for the help from PlayEveryWare to get there.

4cr: Thanks once again for doing this interview. Do you want to add something else before we go?

Yes. I invite everybody in need for pixel art assets to visit my resources page and get some free goodies right here. I will continue making art Assets available to everybody on a regular basis.

Thanks again for this interview Antonio. You were of great help during my Kickstarter Campaign for Elliot Quest way back when, and I’m happy we got a chance to catch up.
